Hemimorphite (fine blue color) (copper-bearing)

We have seen over the last 20 years or so, some important discoveries of attractive blue Hemimorphite from a few localities in the renowned copper deposits in Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville). This piece comes to us from a find In May of 2020, and we picked up a small but good quality parcel of this attractive material from the M'Fouati Mine. These specimens have excellent color and the vast majority are good sized display pieces to boot. This hefty large cabinet sized piece features a coverage of beautiful rich sky blue colored botryoidal Hemimorphite which is almost completely covering the display side of the specimen. Very little damage, as there are only a few small spots of exposed matrix. A very attractive and fine quality example of these beautiful new specimens. This is copper-bearing material, hence the blue color, and the Hemimorphite "balls" show decent translucency when backlit.
