Item Description

Hemimorphite is a RARE secondary zinc mineral from this famous mine at Tiger. Pretty light blue translucent botryoids with satin luster richly and attratively cover the miniature matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3822 and acquired in December, 1964. Kay's label lists Hydrozincite, but that species is not listed for Tiger by MINDAT. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). RARE blue hemimorphite from Tiger and an MUST for the locality or species collector.
