Item Description
Heterogenite is a rare cobalt oxide. Lustrous, bubbly, botryoidal, jet-black, heterogenite richly coats the front of this sculptural, fluted CABINET specimen. The heterogenite rests on a banded matrix of beautiful and starkly contrasting, botryoidal, turquoise blue-green chrysocolla. A very fine and showy large rare combination piece from this less well-known Katanga copper mine.
