Item Description
Heterogenite is a rare cobalt oxide. Lustrous, bubbly, botryoidal, jet-black, heterogenite richly coats all three sides of this spiky, wedge-shaped, CABINET specimen. The heterogenite rests on barely visible, beautiful and starkly contrasting, botryoidal, turquoise blue-green chrysocolla. A very fine and showy, large and rare combination piece from this famous and closed Katanga copper mine.
