Item Description
Exceptional, classic, old museum quality, very rich large heulandite from the Faroe Islands. Glassy, pearlescent luster on the impressive densely intergrown cluster of textbook, slightly curved, parallel-growth, stacked crystal plates. The basalt deposits on the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic are a historic classic locale for Zeolite Group species. This outstanding old two-sided classic is illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the species and locale. Formerly in the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection and Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection.
