Item Description

Striking, deeply hoppered/skeletal galena crystals with a bit of golden chalcopyrite are jauntily set on massive sphalerite matrix on this very fine galena specimen from the famous mines at Huaron. You cant tell from the photos, but the galena crystal faces have a beautiful, light golden iridescence. Choice material from the heyday of these mines in the 1970s to early 80s. These are the most strongly hoppered Huaron galenas we have seen. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
