Item Description

An aesthetic, floater cluster of lustrous, transparent to opaque, brown gypsum blades from the famous Great Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge, near Jet, Oklahoma. The prominent doubly terminated large crystal and the smaller crystals have "hour-glass" sand inclusions, for which the locality is renowned for. The sidecar crystals are an outstanding accent. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine, trivial termination edge wear to the lower large crystal is noted, but is a modest detraction. Highly representative of this noted locale. It is almost impossible to find a totally pristine specimen. Ex Robert Fender Collection.
