Item Description
Sparkly reddish-brown hubeite microcrystals totally cover the sculptural mounded small cabinet matrix on this very rich and showy specimen from the Type Locality. Hubeite is a very rare hydrated complex Ca-Mn-Fe-silicate and the species was named in 2001. The nice aesthetic surprise is on the bottom, where a striking cluster of opposing quartz crystals is the matrix, a typical complement.
