Item Description

A very rich, showy, lightweight, two-sided combination crust from the circa 2000s finds at this famous mine. One side is richly covered with sprays of vitreous, light and dark brown Hubeite blades (a Ca-Mn-Fe silicate, UNIQUE to the Fengjiashan Mine) along with glassy, pastel-pink inesite blades, a similar silicate. The other side is almost solidly sprays of pretty pink inesite blades. There are also scattered glassy apophyllites as a bonus. Ex Francesco Bedogne Collection # 1844. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
