Hübnerite on Quartz (classic material)

Item Description

The Adams Mine in the San Juan Mountains of color has produced some of the most well-known Hübnerite specimens from any locality in the United States. This classic locality is almost exclusively known for these specimens, which were mined decades ago, but they are still among the best piece of species from anywhere in Colorado. This small cabinet specimen features groups of beautiful, sharp, lustrous, deep reddish-brown tabular striated crystals of Hübnerite measuring up to 7 mm, with minor green Fluorite sitting atop Quartz matrix. These specimens are not seen on the market very often these days. For the quality, size and overall displayability, it is certainly a good example of this well known material.
