Item Description

A magnificent, totally unprecedented large anglesite with galena from famous Touissit. The stunning adamantine lustre, very glassy, two-sided tabular crystal is dominated by the fantastic gemmy golden-yellow section on one side. The rest of the striking compound crystal is amber to white patchwork. "Mother" galena is attached to one edge and is a super accessory and complement. Both edges of the anglesite are attachments, contacted but not damaged. Hefty lead ore at 1498 grams or 3.3 pounds. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection 20759CL and acquired in 2003. The fine 2013 Mineralogical Record article on the locale, Vol. 44, No. 6 does not reference an anglesite crystal of this unbelievable size. A perhaps UNIQUE large Touissit anglesite. Value?? We have never seen another remotely of this size. The photo speaks for itself! Note there is a gem-quality cuttable section inside with great lemon color, as well.
