Item Description

Hydroxylellestadite is a very rare neosilicate, part of the Ellestadite Group of the Apatite Supergroup, and only found about a dozen localities around the world. This piece is from the type locality for the species at Doushinkubo, Japan. This piece features pale purplish colored Hydroxylellestadite all over the display side of the specimen. From the dealer inventory of Josef Vajdak, who is a noted Czech mineral expert, and comes with a label from Komuro Minerals.
