Item Description

A sculptural mammillary specimen of solid hydrozincite from this old extinct Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag-Au-V-U mining district. Hydrozincite was a primary and signature zinc ore. RARE, tiny sparkly needles cover the underlying massive hydrozincite. Undoubtedly old material, but no proof. A rare, richly crystallized and highly representative example of the species and locale. From an East Coast collection. Bright white SW UV fluorescence.
