Item Description

One of the most amazing things to come out of Dal'negorsk in the 1980s were these ice-cube like, water-clear Fluorites that are among the finest Fluorites ever found, and among the most desired. These colorless crystals are totally transparent, and the Quartz crystal matrix at the base appears as a garden growing around and into the crystal. At 4.0 cm, this is a very respectable size Nikolai Mine specimen. The single cube is 1.4 cm, and the largest complex crystal is 2.2 cm. I catch my breath just a little bit every time one of these good ones comes across my desk, which is not all that often. These water-clear Dalnegorsk Fluorites have become really hard to get, especially when they are in such fine condition. The aesthetics are excellent, and the actual piece is much better in person ('Invisible' Fluorites are hard to shoot!). Valued at $900-1000 - and in person, you would see why! It is so clean and sharp, it looks fake.
