Ilmenite (classic locale)

Item Description

Ilmenite is another classic species from the famous Bancroft area. A large, impressive, sharp, tabular crystal is dramatically perched on more ilmenite crystals. The brownish-gray crystals have moderate luster, interesting stepped-growth faces and the overall piece has fine two-sided form. The bit of bruising on both sides is noted, but is certainly a very modest detraction, as the large crystal is not effected. Excellent, above average material.
