This is a magnificent example from a very rare and old US classic occurrence. From the well-known collection of Bart Cannon, this is an approx 4 x 4 x 2.5 cm ilvaite crystal showing BOTH terminations, locked snugly into hedenbergite matrix on its back faces. The crystal is robust and sharp, unusually lustrous, and just GOOD...even as a single crystal, it would be an important piece. On matrix It is almost unheard of. This is an oldtimer, and something you rarely see on the market in any case. As a superlative matrix piece, this is one of the best examples of the Idaho material I have personally seen for sale.
