Item Description

A classic specimen from the old-world location of the Isle of Seiphos, Greece. This single ilvaite crystal is a well formed prism with a nice termination and an "antique" appearance on the surface. There are a few contacts, but it's still in great condition overall. Hard to find specimens of this quality from this historic location on the market today. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5965). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
