Item Description

A dramatic and sculptural radiating mounded cluster of elongated, terminated ilvaite prisms from recent finds at this now famous remote Chinese mine. The nubby matte-finish to moderately lustrous ilvaites are preferentially coated with brown hedenbergite, adding color and contrast. One area of broken crystals (out-of-sight in the primary display views) and periphery wear are noted, but this remains an impressive, excellent and rare style ilvaite combination from the locale.
