RARE matrix "imperial" topaz from Ouro Preto! "Imperial" topaz from Ouro Preto, Brazil is a "Holy Grail" topaz varietal, most collectors yearn for. Matrix specimens are VERY seldom on the market, but here's your chance to obtain a very fine example at auction! A 3.5 cm, gem, rich yellow-orange, sharply terminated crystal is dramatically placed front and center on the ironstone matrix. The crystal is very nearly pristine, as the few internal veils and barely noticeable edge wear have negligible impact on the very high quality of this extreme and desirable rarity.
