Imperial Topaz on Quartz (RARE New Find)

Imperial Topaz and Quartz combinations of ANY size and quality are RARE from the iron and topaz mines at famed Ouro Preto. This large specimen is surprising. A 4.0 cm wide cluster of gemmy yellow topaz crystals and crystal sections are showingly set on the side of an impressive, large, sharp, lustrous, transparent to translucent, terminated quartz crystal. The two large, terminated topaz crystals are 1.5 and 1.0 cm long. This striking piece is from a new find during the Covid era! The large quartz is complete all-around. Contacting on the sides, where other crystals once lay, have very little damage, per se. 1355 grams or 3.0 pounds mass. The piece displays well without aid.
