Indicolite Tourmaline on "Alligator" Quartz (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

An eye-catching, striated, gemmy prismatic richly colored Indicolite Tourmaline crystal measuring 1.6 cm long sits atop a group of sharp, lustrous, slightly smoky Quartz crystals, most notably a group of "Alligator" Quartz on the left side of the piece. The specimen is in excellent condition, and very aesthetic as you can see. I can see a tiny nick on the Tourmaline, but otherwise, the specimen is practically undamaged on the display side. Very attractive and a worthwhile pickup for anybody who likes Tourmalines, gem crystals or Brazilian minerals.
