Item Description
An old-time, showy specimen of solid iridescent chalcopyrite from renowned Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Most of the iridescent piece is golden brass-yellow, but there are also flashes of peacock-blue and coppery tones. Rich and hefty copper ore. Possibly from the Steenkampskraal, Vanrhynsdorp monazite deposit. Ex H. Coates and Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collections. Surely over 80 years old. VERY RARE.
