Item Description

Riveting, sharp, chalcopyrite sphenoids with fabulous iridescent peacock-blue, coppery, magenta and neon-green highlights are dramatically set atop the mounded matrix of quartz points accented with smaller chalcos and clusters of sparkly pyrite microcrystals on this outstanding combination miniature from the famous San Martin Mine. The super sphenoidal twin at the top is 1.8 cm. The back side is incredibly interesting. Masssive quartz septae formed around long dissolved away sharp tetragonal crystals, probably fluorapophyllite. Very uncommon and most excellent combination material from this noted locale.
