Incredibly iridescent, sharp, chalcopyrite crystals are nicely complimented by a rich covering of glassy, flattened, calcite rhombs on this showy and excellent combination specimen from the famous Casapalca Mine of Peru. The primary shocking colors are peacock-blue, magenta and gold. Certainly one of the more iridescent specimens of any species and locality we have offered at auction. Nearly pristine, with only trivial edgewear. Amazing combination material from the heyday of production from the 1970s to early 90s from this noted locale. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
