Item Description
Iridescent peacock-blue and golden-yellow galena cubes with striking fortification features are discretely scattered on the large chert matrix plate on this super, old-time and rare specimen from the Joplin Field. The sharp cubes meaure up to a healthy 2.7 cm. The iridescence on the lustrous, metallic-gray cubes is surreal and is very uncommon. The back of the plate has smaller galena cubes and a host of gemmy and lustrous, rubyjack sphalerite crystals. Very fine material from the George Feist Collection # 1408. Valued $500-700.
