Iridescent Hematite on Magnetite ore (rare)

Really pretty, colorful and iridescent hematite crystals to 1.0 cm, cover the iron ore matrix on this on this cute reference example from the ancient iron mines at Rio Marina. Actually, I though tthis was only typical iron hematite matrix but Karl Warning here in our office tested it with a magnet and the magnet sticks strongly - indicating that the matrix here is very rich in magnetite. This was known, but I had not seen such a piece. A RARE COMBINATION in my experience! from the A.G Moss and Mervyn Ford Collections.
