Item Description
Jade (Nephrite) is one of the most popular "non gem quality" stones around. The material is often only translucent, but the beautiful colors is what attracts collectors. Most people associated Jade with the color green, but it is found in a wide range of colors, including red, purple and yellow. This stone is an "oval cabochon" cut gem, but it features a rarely seen brownish-red hue. This stone is translucent for all intents and purposes, but looks beautiful in any kind of lighting. Now I don't know for certain if it has been treated, but based upon the color and the translucency, my guess is that it's more than likely UN-treated. A very attractive and hard to find gem that would make a great addition to any collection.
