Item Description

Jeremejevite is a relatively rare gem borate species, and one of the more desirable gem minerals for collectors. Typically Jeremejevite crystals are yellow, but there are several localities in Namibia which have produced the finest BLUE color crystals of the species extant. This thumbnail sized crystal is a very attractive, gemmy, hexagonal prism with a beautiful light blue color (it's nearly colorless at the termination). The crystal is well-formed with smooth faces, and no real signs of etching, which is rare for this material. Euhedrral gemmy crystals of Jeremejevite are certainly worthwhile specimens to add to any gem crystal collection.
