Item Description

Joaquinite is an ultra rare cerium silicate and the famous Dallas Gem Mine is the Type Locality. Gemmy and lustrous, sharp amber-brown crystals to 2 mm are richly concentrated and scattered on the gray-green CABINET serpentine matrix plate. This is a large size for the rare species joaquinite. A classic, 1.2 cm, partially gemmy, light indigo-blue benitoite crystal and a rich sprinkling of lustrous, black neptunite prisms to 7 mm compliment the piece. This is a large, rich and showy combination example of the species from this noted locale. The rich coverage of joaquinite is exceptional. Valued $650.
