Item Description

A great specimen featuring several sharp, lustrous, well-formed, translucent, glowing orange-brown colored Joaquinite-(Ce) crystals associated with a handful of blue trigonal Benitoite crystals along with several small prismatic crystals of dark reddish-black Neptunite sitting on a thin layer of white Natrolite and grey-blue Crossite matrix. The largest Joaquinite-(Ce) crystal is about 1 or 2 mm, but under magnification, they are clearly crystallized, and very attractive up close. A fantastic small cabinet sized specimen featuring crystals of a species that is only found from a few places in the world. The Gem Mine is the type locality for Joaquinite-(Ce), along with obviously being best known for its amazing Benitoite and Neptunite specimens. From the collection R. D. Mushlitz. Priced in the inventory at $3,000 retail.
