Item Description

Johachidolite is an incredibly rare gem, and the only gem-worthy material is found in Myanmar. The species is named after its discovery locality, in the Johachido district, Kenkyohokudo, North Korea. The material from Myanmar is the finest in the world in terms of gemstones. You rarely seen stones over 1 carat, and when they are, typically the stones are filled with inclusions. The majority of these gems are less than 1/4 carat, so this stone is by no means small by Johachidolite standards. With a hardness over 7.5, a vivid color and a high refractive index, Johachidolite is a true gem, and it falls into a unique category of gems that are among the rarest in the world. You don't see many of these on the market in any quantity. This is older material, and fine quality on a worldwide scale. Even though this stone isn't eye clean, it's still gem quality, with a pleasing "Oval Cabochon" cut and a vivid orange hue. If you collect rare stones, don't let this one get away, you don't see them very often.
