Item Description
These specimens are true classics from Cornwall. This piece is a wonderful example of the a beautiful "floater" crystals of Carlsbad-twinned Orthoclase which has been pseudomorphed by Kaolinite from one of the various clay pit localities in Cornwall. The piece is complete all the way around, and has retained its sharp original crystal form with a beautiful egg-shell white color. No damage, complete on all sides. Great old classic material from Cornwall. I'm told that these are called "pig's eggs" for whatever reason. The piece is from the collection of Wouter van Tichelen and comes with his label. Valued at $700.
