Item Description
Ultra rare and colorful Khaidarkanite, a Cu-Al-hydroxyhalide, from the Type Locality. Tiny rich turquoise-blue needles fill the sculptural vug on the thumbnail matrix. The species was named in 1999. The richness of this piece is above average for the locale. From 1990s finds, and now almost never seen on the market today. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale. This was purchased by Rob in the 1990s from the Fersman Museum of Moscow, and sold to Vasco at that time. It came from a museum expeditionary trip
