While Kunzite is a fairly well-known gem, there are only a few places in the world where it is found with any frequency. The gem pegmatites in Afghanistan have been a great source of gem quality Kunzite for several decades, and outside of Brazil, this is the only place you'll find good faceted material making its way to the market regularly. This beautiful "oval brilliant" cut stone has a soft pinkish-purple hue with wonderful eye-clean clarity and excellent cutting. This is a good sized gem, and could easily be the center stone for a piece of jewelr, or would make a great addition to any gem collection. Priced at $186.00 retail.
