Item Description
Kunzite is the gem pink variety of the mineral Spodumene, and the first discovered crystals came from San Diego County, California in the early 20th century. Here we have a wonderful old time specimen of this classic material. The piece is a sharp, gemmy, light pink color, prismatic single crystal off matrix. There is some slight etching in places, which is typical for the material, but the piece is notably lustrous and virtually WATER CLEAR in areas. The piece weighs 58.6 grams. From the collection of Arthur L. Flagg (#1440) who lived from 1883 to 1961, and was a major figure in the world of mineralogy and mineral collecting. You can read his biography at the following link ( https://mineralogicalrecord.com/biographies_labels/flaggarthur-l/ ). Priced at $2,500 in the inventory.
