Kyanite

Kyanite is rarely seen in faceted stones from anywhere in the world let alone in such a rich color. It is exceptionally rare, mostly occurring in Brazil as included pale blue to colorless gems. This stone is from Nepal of all places and has a great Sapphire Blue color. This "Oval Cabochon" cut gem has a unique rich inky blue stripe in the center with some lighter bluish-silvery zones on the side There are some inclusions, but the color is pretty good. These stones are becoming very difficult to find in today's market, and stones over 5 carats are even harder to obtain.
