This well-known Bolivian tin mine is famous for world-class cassiterite specimens and this is a very large and sharp crystal for the locale. The highly lustrous and sculptural mostly black crystal is a striking cyclic twin. The three well-striated twinning planes add real pizzazz to this fine crystal and strong lighting reveal several areas of desirable honey-brown translucence. A fascinating and excellent 360-degree large crystal. The quartz spray on one side, next to a contact with no damage, adds character. This is the only Bolivian tine mine, that occasionally produces facet-quality cassiterite. An important large Viloco cassiterite from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued at $750-1000 for crystal size and high quality.
