Item Description
A HUGE, impressive, rich and classic celestine plate from this well-known Michigan locale. Lustrous, translucent, gray-blue tabular prisms with tapered edges are dramatically festooned on the mounded limestone matrix. The crystals reach 3.2 cm and the white highlights add color and contrast. The interior is essentially pristine on this rare, very large specimen from the Ted Bartels Collection.
