Item Description

Glorious rich golden-amber color highlights one gem termination of this striking, sculptural large calcite crystal cluster from the famous Elmwood Mine. The dramatic large crowning crystal is highly lustrous, very glassy, doubly terminated and twinned. The multiply terminated end is just as gemmy, but of a lighter amber color. I like the way the crystal is perched on an opposing calcite crystal. Complete all-around and in good shape. It's hard to tell, that the beautiful golden termination is cleaved and that two of the three tips on the other end are gently brusied, without looking closely. One spot of modest edge wear is noticed elsewhere on the large crystal. This is a classic, excellent and shapely large two-sided example with highly desirable rich gemmy color.
