Item Description

Dramatically intergrown large epidote crystals form an outstanding, large, sculptural floater specimen from a 2011 find in this less well-known Pakistan mountain range, which has produced world-class brookite, anatase and amethyst specimens. The impresssive, doubly terminated tabular crystal is 7.9 x 6.8 x 2.2 cm and the dramatic sharp doubly terminated, pseudo-hexagonal crystal is 6.7 x 5.0 x 4.8 cm. The lustrous, deep olive-green crystals have nubby faces, due to embedded micro magnetite crystals. This exceptional 360-degree floater is pristine. A few contacts, where other crystals once lay are noted, but have no damage, per se. Every turn presents a different perspective to this stunning piece. We have seen specimens of lesser quality priced at thousands of dollars at major shows. ex Kay Robertson, from Rock Currier around 2012
