Large Fluorite plate (fluroescent!)

Classic, gem, purple interpenetrating fluorite cubes cover the undulating large matrix on this exceptional and sculptural specimen from the famous Frazer's Hush Mine. I particularly like the way the three mounded clusters dominate the skyline on this very fine piece. The largest interpenetrating pair is in the center cluster, at 1.5 cm. An outstanding and pristine large plate enhanced by the sphalerite crystal clusters on the back side. This famous Weardale fluorite mine opened in the early 1970s and closed in 1999. Amazing whitish-purple fluorescence under LW UV light and excellent fluorescence under any bright light. Valued at $1250-1500. Very high quality Frazer's Hush fluorite. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
