Item Description

Intergrown large fluorite cubes form a RARE dramatic and sculptural large combination specmen from the famous Frazer's Hush Mine. The two stunning large cubes are 8.8 x 5.2 x 5.0 (elongated) and 9.3 x 8.5 x 5.2 cm. Multi-generational lustrous, moderately translucent, variably-purple fluorite underlays and partially overlays the dense preferential carpets of clusters of RARE tiny siderite crystals. Adding even more pizzazz and character, the tops and backs of the cubes are preferentially included with oxides for a strikingly different look and color. This famous Weardale fluorite mine opened in the early 1970s and closed in 1999. Purple fluorescence. Fairly valued at $2500-3000 for combination quality, rarity and size.
