A sculptural impressive large gem indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010 finds at the famed Pederneira Mine. This classic teal-blue beauty is water-clear gem throughout, with only a few internal layers. The trigonal crystal is super glassy, lustrous and striated. The face with the side cars is peppered with numerous tiny tourmalines, adding character. The striking pair of parallel-growth side cars at the base, to 3.0 add real pizzazz. All three terminations have indicolite-blue areas below purple caps having striking rippled stepped-growth. Complete all-around and pristine. The only two clean repairs are certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species, especially large crystals, such as this. A classic large terminated indicolite with nifty side cars from the locale with excellent gemminess, color and aesthetic form. Mass is 28 grams. Valued at $3500-4000. MUCH better in person!!
