Item Description

The Wessels Mine of South Africa has probably produced the world"s finest specimens of kutnohorite and this is an impressive, very large, multi-colored example. This is a solid crust of kutnohorite with a striking, elongate vug on one side. One side has a patch of snow-white kutnohorite on creamy and beautiful pink kutnohorite. The other side is creamy kutnohorite. The vug is spectacular with the gorgeous pink lining. Extremely uncommon in this dramatic large size. Intense red-orange fluorescence (shown here, but better in person with more orangey hue in person as well). Ex Charlie Key dealer stock. Valued at $1500-2000. extra shipment weight will apply
