Item Description
An important, impressive and very large, old-time malachite specimen from the famed Copper Queen Mine. Nubby, forest-green, velvet malachite botryoids fill the sculptural vug in sintered gossan matrix. The minor periphery wear reveals the classic banded growth of the malachite. This imposing piece certainly dates to prior to World War I and is over 100 years old. Classic large material from the Dennis Mullane Bisbee Collection. Valued at $2000. 6.4 pounds or 2.9 kilos.
