large Pink Fluorite with Aquamarine & Muscovite

An impressive and sculptural large mounded combination plate from Nagar, which is famous for aquamarine but from which good fluorites are much more uncommon and rarely do you see the two on the same piece. A dramatic and colorful focal point is the striking 7.0 cm pair of intergrown fluorite cuboctahedrons. The gemmy, lustrous, densely stepped-growth fluorites are light pink with stunning orange to brown oxide-tined interior zones with frosted faces. Lustrous, glassy, water-clear to translucent, light ice-blue to oxide-tinted hexagonal aquamarine crystals are richly scattered on the pearlescent muscovite matrix. The imposing upright aquamarine crystal is 3.7 cm tall and the flat-lying tinted aqua in front of it is 4.2 long. The small fluorite is pristine and the noted contact on the large fluorite, which reveals the interior gemminess, has very minimal bruising. The fluorite fluoresces light purple. Mass is 2418 grams or 5.3 pounds. Miniscule interior damage is noted on this very densely crystallized specimen. A remarkable large combination from the locale with unusually colored fluorite crystals. Specimens like this, if found, sell at the source for prices in excess of 10,000, quite regularly, and this will probably be available here for less than the price on the ground in the Peshawar market!
