A striking 4.3 x 3.6 x 2.8 cm pyritohedron with remarkable modified edges dominates this impressive, sculptural and rich large mounded specimen from the famous Huanzala Mine. All of the densely intergrown pyritohedrons have classic mirror-bright brassy lustre and striated faces. The stunning large crystal is nearly pristine, with only trivial edge wear. The rest of the interior is essentially pristine, for all the crystal density, with only a few bruised edges noted. The Huanzala Mine is clearly one of the world's great pyrite specimen mines, for both quality and sheer volume. This is a very fine and rich large pyritohedron example. 5.5 pounds or 2.5 kilos mass. valued $2000
