Item Description

San Cristobal District pyrite specimens compare very favorably with those from renowned Huanzala, but are quite rare comparatively. This impressive, large, sharp, well-striated pyritohedron has very high luster and rich golden-yellow color. Complete all-around and in very good shape, with only trivial display-side edge wear. Portions of one side and the base are bruised, but are nearly out-of-sight in the primary display views. Exceptional, large and uncommon pyrite from the locale from the Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1982.
