An impressive and sculptural large lightweight pseudomorph from the famous and ancient mines at Cavnic. Sparkly, sugary quartz crystals have casted hollow epimorphs of sharp calcite scalenohedrons, to 5.0 cm. The peppering of lustrous, brassy pyritohedrons adds color contrast and character to this classic and fine pseudomorph. This is an uncommon and excellent large pseudomorph from this renowned locale. The bottom is just as dramatic as the top!
