Item Description

A fantastic looking, highly unusual and super-rich large tourmaline specimen from the famous Goldconda Mine. This surreal 360-degree piece is composed of multiple generations of sea-green toumaline crystals with a few hints of indicolite-blue. A dramatic large, well-striated, parallel-growth, slightly bent crystal with very high glassy luster and translucence dominates the front. The broken base reveals, that this a surprising watermelon tourmaline with a pink core! The "cap" of smaller crystals adds pizzazz. The striking and rich plate on the back is composed entirely of gemmy tourmalines, to 7.2 cm. Both ends and both sides of the plate are attachments, but this reminds a very impressive, sculptural, out-of-ordinary looking tourmaline from this renowned locale. Old material from the 1970s-80s finds. Valued at $1250-1500. Try to find another large Golconda tourmaline of this style!
